Ingrid Atterberg Manet Series Vase

Ingrid Atterberg Manet series Mid Century Modern hand painted art pottery vase.  Ingrid Atterberg (1920–2008) designed many classics for the Swedish Upsala-Ekeby company in the 1940s to 1960s. One of the most well-known series is Manet (Jellyfish) manufactured from 1951 to 1954. It consists of 10 earthenware bowls and vases. Incised on bottom: Abg (Atterberg), UE (Upsala-Ekeby), and 2121 (shape number). Made in Sweden and UE ink stamps. Size approximately: Height 6.5”; Width 3.25”; Depth 2.5”. Price: $110

Mari Simmulson (Beata 1965) Wonderful Woman Wall Plaque

Mari Simmulson's wonderful wall plaque with rectangular form and hand decorated parts in pastel colors. Mari Simmulson (1911-2000) is one of the well-known representatives of the illustrious Swedish ceramic design of the 20th century. She was one of the leading designers for Gustavsberg and Upsala-Ekeby in the 1940s-1960s. Simmulson is represented at the Swedish National Museum of Art and Design.  Stig Lindberg (1916-1982) is one of the most renowned representatives of the illustrious Swedish ceramic design of the 20th century. He is well-known for his constant creativity and exceptional eye for shapes, proportions and patterns. Lindberg is represented at the Swedish National Museum of Art and Design.

Since the 1990s this design has been produced at Keramikstudion Gustavsberg. This figurine comes from the test production and is decorated in a rare color setting.
